That was it

So...That was Christmas.

Good times. Family. Shits. Giggles and some seaweed.

I did enjoy it though. Three families collided before my very eyes and it was great.

Although I must say... I love my nieces - they're the most beautiful little tykes - but I am in awe at how many presents they got! Am I getting old? Am I slipping into that whole "you don't know how much you've got" mentality. It confused the shiz out of me- as with it came the dirty reality that my myriad of values are made up of so much western excess. Damn the McDonalds generation.

Huh.

Tomorrow me and my foxy wife are of down to Golden Bay. Ole!!!

The Ginge that stole Christmas.

Well well today is my last day at Kiwibank before my holiday break- and dang I could use it! I'm bloody cream crackered (thats cockney rhyming slang for knackered by the way). It should be great. I'm off to the coast with Hannah on Friday - Glorious Riversdale. Ill bet you a tenner and a packet of peanuts it rains. Your on!

There is a Christmas decoration competition going on at the moment. My fellow desk mates and I have chosen the theme of The Grinch that Stole Christmas. Currently in the middle of desks we have a 'dead' Santa Claus. It is quite the gruesome sight with the knife sticking out his back. He lays still in a sea of chocolate wrappers...

*Work mate Mansell sidles over to my desk and challenges me to a game of Connect Four - I beat him and send him on his way*

There are also broken Christmas decorations all over the place and wanted posters. I am wanted for feeding laxatives to Santa's reindeer. Solid.

Adios - and Merry Christmas!!!

Tueday - 2 more days till break time

Ahoy there Blogsville.
I am currently at work... I should be working... But Im not - I'm typing this blog entry...Ummmmers Im telling!!!!

*Im currently listening to 'Straight lines' by Silver Chair*
Sure it's poppier than their older stuff - but dang it's an accomplished track. Brilliant. His vocals - mellifluous - the song progression smooth and builds brilliantly

*Work mates outburst in background - giggling about something or other*

So as the title indicates I am close to the end. It is almost Christmas break - a time to bask in the glorious summer that New Zealand yearly proffers up. And it has been a mint little build up - Daily sun and close to the hottest December on record.
*on comes 'Take a bow' by Muse* Brilliant - for reasons similar to those mentioned for Straight Lines.

The Friday night work Christmas antics went down nicely. MCing was great - I had a ball. It all culminated nicely at the end of the night with me singing "Wonderwall" to the whole of Kiwibank. I bloody loved it. Not sure how it happened - but other people enjoyed it so no complaining.

*Work mates start discussing Hell pizza again*
We were going to exploit their free online delivery Tuesday deal - however a meeting has popped up and it looks like there will be no pizza today. Gaytown.

*Bomb track by Rage Against the Machine comes on*
Receptionists clamour around my desk, delivering a Christmas card and a Kiwibank cap.
My card is signed by Sam Knowles (CEO) and says: "Thanks for the great ideas". Nice.

Right - back to work - oh look Lunch time. Very handy.

Have a minty day blogsville.

Thursday, December 13

Okay so here I am.

Okay so here I am.

My first actual blog.

So today I have a stupendously busy day ahead. I really don’t know how I get myself involved with these kinds of antics – Sometimes I wish I was a little more normal.

A) At 1pm I have a presentation to the “Executive Team” of Kiwibank regarding an art project I have been working on. To be honest I am completely out of my depth with this one and it should be a laugh. We’ll see. I know my stuff which is a bonus – the key area of concern is the questions they will fire at me. Should be fun.

B) And at the other end of the presentation spectrum - Me and my Clan Destine work mates are “MCing” the Kiwibank Christmas party. We’ve got a few gags lined up and a gorilla suit and an ode to Bruce Thompson – the Thompsonator. I am currently pondering how I can get the old “is that a banana in your pocket or you just happy to see me” gag. A bit of innuendo always goes down nicely.

So between those 2 things and my actual job today should be busy. Although not busy enough for me to quickly faff out a quick blog entry.

Ole! Su madre usa cargadores del combate en la ducha! Ole!

Trial and tribulations

This is the way I roll.
Blogging from the ground on up.
Apparently that's not the way you spell blogging.
Bummer.
